Prolific setup quick guide

This page helps researchers configure optional Prolific integration in the Study Builder. Use it when your study recruits participants through Prolific.

Where to configure this

In the builder, open Project metadata and expand Optional recruitment settings (Prolific).

Minimum configuration

1. Enable Prolific completion handoff for this project.
2. Leave parameter names as defaults unless your Prolific study uses custom keys.
3. Optionally set completion URL (typically https://app.prolific.com/submissions/complete).

Field mapping from Prolific

• Participant ID parameter: usually PROLIFIC_PID
• Study ID parameter: usually STUDY_ID
• Session ID parameter: usually SESSION_ID

End-to-end check

1. Save your settings and export/download the project ZIP.
2. Confirm recruitment.prolific appears in project.yml.
3. Test consent and completion flow with sample query params.
4. Confirm completion redirect sends participants back to Prolific correctly.
